Risk Disclosure
Last updated: March 28, 2026 · Read carefully before using AltcoinSignal signals or data
High Risk Investment Warning
Cryptocurrency trading involves substantial risk of loss. You should only trade with money you can afford to lose entirely. AltcoinSignal does not provide financial advice. Signals, alerts, and data are tools to assist your own research — not trading recommendations.
1. Nature of the service
AltcoinSignal is a data and market intelligence platform, not a financial adviser, broker, investment manager, or regulated financial institution. We do not hold any financial services licence.
The Radar signals, price alerts, volume alerts, whale alerts, and all other outputs of the Platform are generated algorithmically from public market data. They represent mathematical patterns in historical data, not forecasts or recommendations.
2. Cryptocurrency-specific risks
- Extreme volatility. Altcoins can lose 50–90% of their value in days or hours. Small-cap and mid-cap tokens (our primary focus) are significantly more volatile than major assets.
- Liquidity risk. Small altcoins may have thin order books. You may be unable to exit a position at a favourable price, or at all.
- Regulatory risk. Cryptocurrency regulation varies by country and changes rapidly. Activities that are legal today may be restricted or prohibited in the future.
- Technology risk. Smart contract bugs, protocol exploits, and exchange hacks have resulted in total loss of funds for investors.
- Market manipulation. Altcoin markets are susceptible to pump-and-dump schemes, wash trading, and coordinated manipulation that our signals may inadvertently reflect.
- Counterparty risk. Centralised exchanges, lending platforms, and custodians may become insolvent or freeze withdrawals.
- Tax implications. Cryptocurrency gains may be taxable in your jurisdiction. Consult a tax professional.
3. Risks specific to our signals
Radar signals are not buy/sell signals. They indicate tokens exhibiting unusual momentum or volume patterns based on a mathematical score. A high Radar score means a token is moving — not that it will continue to move in your favour.
- Lagging data. All market data (prices, volumes) involves some delay. By the time a signal reaches you, the opportunity may have passed or reversed.
- Backtesting fallacy. Our scoring formula is based on observed patterns. Markets evolve and past patterns do not guarantee future results.
- No stop-loss guidance. We do not advise on position sizing, entry/exit points, or risk management. These decisions are entirely yours.
- Whale alert limitations. On-chain data is public but interpretation is uncertain. Large wallet movements may reflect OTC trades, internal transfers, staking, or unrelated activity.
- Sponsored content. Some tokens displayed on the Platform (marked SPONSORED or VERIFIED) have paid for visibility. This does not constitute an endorsement of the project.
4. No guarantee of accuracy
Market data is sourced from CoinGecko, Dexscreener, and public blockchains. We make no representation or warranty that data is accurate, complete, timely, or fit for any particular purpose. Data may contain errors, omissions, or delays.
5. Your responsibility
By using the Platform, you confirm that:
- You understand the risks described in this document
- You will conduct your own research (DYOR) before making any investment decision
- You are not relying solely on AltcoinSignal data or signals to make investment decisions
- You are financially and psychologically able to bear any losses that may result
- You will seek independent financial advice if you are uncertain about any investment
6. Limitation of liability
AltcoinSignal expressly disclaims any liability for financial losses resulting from use of, or reliance on, any information, signal, alert, or data provided by the Platform. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, and consequential losses.
See Section 11 of our Terms & Conditions for the full liability clause.
7. Seek professional advice
If you are unsure whether cryptocurrency investment is appropriate for your financial situation, please consult a regulated financial adviser in your jurisdiction before investing.
